Dr. Kelly Flanagan
Dr. Kelly Flanagan is the chair of Sports Studies who received his Doctor of Sports Management and Master of Sport Science degrees from the United States Sports Academy. During his studies, he worked in operations and public relations for the Jeep Aloha Bowl/Oahu Bowl Doubleheader, communications for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and corporate sales for the Atlanta Host Committee for the 2003 NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four. Dr. Flanagan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma and has worked in the sports department for several newspapers, including the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Mobile Press Register.
